Hey Everyone! It's been quite some time since our last post. We've been working on new songs and recently started playing more shows again. We actually have about 2-3 shows a month thru november, so hope to see some of you out there. We also got shirts in again, so come buy some!

HAULIN ASS VIDEO

So we just did our 1st video shoot last night in Gilroy. Thanks to Doug and Roy at NO capital Studios for helping out and letting us use their property. The whole thing was shot in the back lot area of where we record. It was a lot of work but I think it is gonna fuckin rule! The video was shot by up and coming film maker Dan Carlson from San Francisco. Thanks Dan! Stay tuned for the premiere!

So we just finished up mixing new versions of Fight to the Finish and Empire. We will be re-releasing Fire Blood and Steel later this year, all tracks except the outro will have vocals. We also just posted our new single from our upcoming album(EP) Haulin Ass. Until then we will have a promo CD for sale with Empire, Haulin Ass, Fight to the Finish and wizard metal. Just a little something to hold you over till the other cds come out. We also have a killer show in Merced this sat(2-27) and VEGAS next sat(3-6). If you are in the area come support the horse!

OH yea, other cool news! We will be playing the slave to the metal festival in Antioch. It will be hosted by FUSE TV's Mistress Juliya. You might remember her from her show Uranium back in the days. The show is also sponsered by Metal Blade, Jagermeister, FUSE TV and more! The show is April 10th in Antioch @ The Mutiny...more bands TBA.

Just played our 1st show of 2010 at one of our favorite places to play, Visalia. The crowd was awesome as usual and the pizza at ALL PRO was kickin! I wish all our shows went this well! LOOKING FOWARD TO A KICK ASS YEAR AND 2 CD RELEASES IN 2010!

Well, looks like a new year is upon us and the Horse is still going strong. We took most of Dec/Jan off to work on new stuff/record and spend time with our families. Things are going well with our new album "Haulin' Ass" and we hope to have a single ready for you to check out by this months end. We are also re-mixing and adding vocals to our 1st album: Fire, Blood and Steel, and let me tell you, it is sounding rad! Hope to have that available too by the end of the month. Stay tuned!

10/2-10/3 shows and LA this sat!

This weekends flurry of shows was pretty awesome. Had a chance to play in our hometown this last friday. We haven't played in San Jose for awhile, so it was awesome to play for our friends and family. Plus we hadn't played for a whole month because of recording so we were itchin to melt faces! Saturday's show with ZOC was ultimate chaos as usual.....getting fucked up and blastin ear drums! Our buddy Dill came out to represent so it was awesome seeing him again. We got a killer show lined up this saturday in LA-LA land. We are playing with Metal Blade recording artist RAVAGE from Boston. They seriously kick-ass so you defintely want to make it out to this show. Plus we are playing with some killer LA thrash bands.

Citrus Heights this Sat w/ ZOC plus NEW EP update!

We will be playing with our good buddies Zombies on Crack in Citrus Heights this sat(sept 5th). You won't want to miss this show. We will be un-veiling some new tracks off our upcoming EP "Haulin Ass".

We plan to start recording "Haulin Ass" next week in Gilroy at NO Capital Studios. We hope to have a CD release party sometime in late October but most likely November.

So our 3-day mini tour was a success although it kinda drained our pockets. That's just part of paying your dues though. For those of you that came out to our acoustic set...thanks! It was fun and will probably never happen again unless its on MTV un-plugged. If you haven't checked it out yet, you can see a clip of it on our youtube page. We will be back at Hot Topic to redeem our metal card on August 13th (non acoustic set) IN the meantime check out our show dates we might be in your town soon! We'll be taking most of Sept. off to work on new material and hopefully record a new EP. LATER

3 day mini tour(STAMPEDE) starts this thursday!

We are getting ready to take off for our 1st "mini-tour" which will also include our 1st LA show. 1st stop is fresno on the 25th at Zapps Park. Thanks to D4D for setting that up for us. 2nd stop is on the 26th at the relax bar in Hollyweird. We will be playing with ex-queen of the stone age bassist's band Mondo Generator. It's a free show so come out for that. Last stop will be in Visalia at All Pro Pizza. Before that show will will be attending the grand opening of Sacred Tiki tattoo to see our boys Desma play. Hope to see some of you at one of these shows!

The Horse goes Acoustic!

We got a lot of exciting stuff going on the next couple of months. We got a killer local show lined up this month on the 30th w/ Zen in Exile. We also will be playing our 1st ever acoustic set @ Hot topic in Oakridge Mall. That will be happening July 10th @ 6pm. If we get enought people at the show they will sell our shit there.
We will also be playing our 1st set of Socal shows and Reno shows. We are pretty excited about that, so stay tuned....we will be recording some new stuff with vocals in July.

Streetlight show

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone that came out this past saturday for our performance at Streetlight. The space was small but it gave us a chance to play a personal show for all our family, friends and fans! We had a great time and will probably play there again in the future, so stay tuned!

Also...we will be playing another all ages show w/(bar upstairs!) in San Jose next month at the portuguese hall on santa clara street downtown. The show is on May 30th and will be put on by a new upcoming San Jose band Zen in Exile. The show is only $5 and will have 7-8 bands total. Each band will be representing a different metal genre. Should be a pretty killer show. Keep it Metal.

So we entered this contest awhile back called The search for the next great metal band. Its part of this Record Store Day Promotion going on all over the United States on April 18th. Basically on this day record stores all over the USA will be having an in-store party with bands and things like that. Anyhow, Metal Blade records decided to be a part of it by having this contest. Local metal bands drop off their press packs. Then one winner will be picked by that record shop to play an in store perfomance on that day. It will be filmed and sent along with their press pack to Metal Blade. Then the head mogul at Metal Blade will pick a grand champion from all the different store entries. We got picked to represent San Jose's Streetlight Records....So come show your support that day, get on film and maybe help us become the next great metal band. Show at noon. See ya there!

We will be returning to Visalia to enforce the metal wrath this saturday 2-7. For those Visalians that didn't catch us last time at Magoos you definitely do not wanna miss this saturday @ ALL Pro Pizza! The last show was not only epic but brutal. Kids were moshing hard and even the girls were letting loose their inner rage in the pit! Visalia knows how to bring it! We are really looking foward to this weekend and plan to play some new tunes for ya'll.

Thanks to all who came out and had a blast. Thanks to the family and Space Vacation for being cool dudes. Oh yeah, Ian was sick, so major shout outs to our boy with the flu.
We had a lot of fun at this show. There was a pretty good turn out and even our buddy Joey had a good time. There will be photo's to follow on the myspace page so keep your eye's peeled for that.

Next show is this coming weekend at the Los Gatos Teen Center. Something you should know, Justin and I used to play there with our band back in the mid 90's. We haven't been there since but we're really looking forward to it. I'm confident this show will rock, and if you don't go, well your just cheating your self on a great time and some old school antics. Until next week, the stable is closed.

Modesto Metal Mayhem

Hey everyone, we had a kick ass show in Modesto last night. Kind of a small crowd but goddamn that stage is huge @ The Fat Cat. We made some new friends and I got pretty drunk. Tomorrow
night is in SF @ Thee Parkside, we're doing a happy hour thing at 5pm so if your reading this come down, it's free and all ages! On a side note we're being played regularly here in the south bay on the college radio stations. Bang your head.

Steel attack on a pace to METALLICA , SLAYER first time, coupled with the IRON MAIDEN the beginning, the spirit and epic production Underground (quality) and more! A title very melodic Heavy Metal then, but that flirts with the limit Heavy Thrash 80's.
Empire continues on the same line with this concern always focus on "simple, efficient and direct." The breaks, times and solidarity are sober, already heard, but the effect is here!

2009 is going to be a great year for us. We finally self-released a 5 song EP: Fire, Blood and Steel. This CD is all instru-Metal right now, but if you have been to any of our recent shows, then you know what we're talking about. So far songs with vocals are Fire, Blood and Steel and Empire. We also have 2 new songs we are playing at shows. Written in Stone(featuring P.Rice on vocals) and Metal Shaman. We have tons of shows already booked for the 1st 3 months of 2009.....hope to see you at one!
